18-Story Upper East Side Tower Takes Shape, Renderings Revealed: Report
Residents will now know what an 18-story tower rising on East End Avenue and East 81st Street will look like.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A planned 18-story apartment tower is steadily rising on the corner of East End Avenue and East 81st Street, and the construction company recently posted renderings of the finished project on its construction fence, New York YIMBY first noticed.
Plans were first filed to constructed the 210-feet-tall development in 2015, according to city Department of Buildings Records. With a total of 81,192 square feet zoned for residential use and only 29 units, the average apartment at 40 East End Avenue will be about 2,800 square feet large — an indication that the tower will contain primarily luxury units.
A sneak peek of the building's final design was posted on the fence of a construction site at the new development's lot, according to a photo sent to New York YIMBY.
