UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Fifth Avenue penthouse owned by award-winning entertainer Bette Midler and her husband has hit the sales market at an eye-popping asking price of $50 million, according to reports.
The triplex penthouse in 1125 Fifth Ave., located across the street from Central Park near East 94th Street, was put on the market Sept. 6 as Midler and her family plans to downsize to another home in Manhattan, the New York Times first reported. In an email sent to the publication, the "Beaches" star described her current home as a " country house in the city."
Midler's home features perfect views of the Central Park Reservoir and nearly 3,000 square feet of outdoor space spread across the four-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment's three levels. Complete with 7,000 square feet in interior space, the home has become too large for Midler and her husband Martin von Haselberg, the Times reported.
