Billionaire's Upper East Side Mansion Sells For $60M: Report
The six-story home owned by Vincent Viola was previously linked to a Chinese businessman who disappeared, the Wall Street Journal reported.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A billionaire sports team owner and former presidential cabinet nominee is set to sell his Upper East Side mansion for $60 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Vincent Viola is in contract to sell his East 69th Street home, joining Jeffrey Epstein's 71st Street townhouse — in contract for $50 million — as two of the neighborhood's largest recent deals, the Journal reported.
Viola, who made his fortune in financial services, owns the Florida Panthers hockey team and was former President Donald Trump's nominee for Secretary of the Army before Viola withdrew himself from consideration in 2017.

Previously, Viola had been in contract to sell the home to Ye Jianming, a Chinese oil magnate who disappeared amid corruption allegations.
The home, listed on Streeteasy for $79 million, boasts 18 rooms, 20,000 square feet spread across six floors, a swimming pool, a gym and a duplex cinema.
