Fire Breaks Out in Famous Original Ray's Pizza Building in Lenox Hill
The FDNY put out a fire in the early afternoon near 63rd Street on the Upper East Side.
LENOX HILL, NY — The FDNY was called to a fire in the building housing Famous Original Ray's Pizza in the Lenox Hill area on Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the five-story building at 1:05 p.m. and was brought under control at 1:30 p.m. There were no injuries, according to the FDNY.
The pizza shop is on the first level, with a hair salon on the second floor and residences on the top three floors. It is located just steps from the Lexington Ave-63rd Street subway station.
