Luxury 23-Story Senior Living Facility Rises On UES
The Inspīr Carnegie Hill development, currently in construction on Second Avenue and East 93rd Street, is expected to open in 2020.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Developers behind a planned 23-story senior living development on the Upper East Side are revealing new details about the luxury building as the tower nears topping out.
Inspīr Carnegie Hill is expected to open on Second Avenue and East 93rd Street sometime in 2020. The development will feature a round-the-clock nursing staff and ground-floor common space for residents, developers told real estate publication Broker Pulse.
The building appears close to topping out, as developers recently shared a photo of views from its 17th floor. Leasing is currently open and the development has a planned completion date of 2020.

Residential amenities planned for the building include: A resident lounge, open-air terraces, indoor gardens, a salon and a fitness center complimented by a spa and pool. A restaurant and bar on the first floor will also serve tenants.
Developers decided to dedicate the first floor to tenant amenities rather than lease it to commercial space in order to provide senior residents more comfortable access to the street.

Inspīr's senior residents will also have their health monitored 24 hours per day. Developers are working with tech firms to create an app that will monitor residents' health and alert staff when there's an irregularity, Broker Pulse reported. The building is also located nearby local medical institutions such as Mount Sinai, Lenox Hill and NewYork-Presbyterian, according to its website.
"The Inspīr brand strives to elevate senior living in every sense," Gregory D. Smith, President & CEO of Inspīr, told Broker Pulse. "We have taken careful consideration to create an environment that evokes urban luxury, yet caters to the specific needs of an older resident."
