The Upper East Side rumor mill is buzzing after Barack and Michelle Obama were spotted checking out neighborhood real estate.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — In case you haven't heard — Barack and Michelle Obama were spotted checking out real estate on the Upper East Side. The unit the former first couple were looking at — a $10 million pad in the coveted 10 Gracie Square co-op — is currently under contract for sale, but it cannot be confirmed whether the Obamas are the buyers.

Here are some similar real estate listings from realtor.com that the Obamas may want to check out before closing on an Upper East Side home.

Asking price: $12.5 million

For some reason, an Upper East Side townhouse just seems more presidential than a co-op apartment. This renovated, 20-foot-wide home on East 61st Street doesn't offer up the same level of privacy as 10 Gracie Square but it does feature more space for the former first family. Plus, there's a 1,000-square-foot garden with a stone patio where former first dog Bo can enjoy the outdoors.

4 E 62nd St Apts 2 & 3

Asking price: $12 million

Barack Obama is often described as one of the "coolest" presidents to ever hold the nation's highest office. That's why this sleek, modern East 62nd Street apartment would be a great fit for the 44th president. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom unit is located in The Curzon House, which was made by merging several historic Beaux Arts Mansions off Fifth Avenue.

955 Fifth Ave Apt 13B

Asking price: $9.8 million

Gracie Square has housed some of the Upper East Side's elite, but a real marker of upper-echelon status in the neighborhood is an uninterrupted view of Central Park. This Fifth Avenue unit — listed for less than 10 Gracie Square — features three rooms and 44-feet of frontage facing Central Park. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom unit is still big enough to host the entire former first family.
