Properties on the Upper East Side regularly sell for eight-figure sums, making it a hotbed for luxury real estate action. Patch looked through realtor.com's Upper East Side listings to feature some of the most expensive single-family listings on the market right now.

This Fifth Avenue duplex is New York City's priciest home, boasting a $96 million price tag – even after a $25 million cut. The home in the prestigious 834 Fifth Ave. co-op was originally listed for $120 million, according to realtor.com.

Asking price: $65 million
This 11-room duplex penthouse featuring Central Park views is located in one of the Upper East Side's poshest buildings. The penthouse is located right across the street from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and features two large wrap terraces with Madison Cox designed plantings.

Here's another $65 million apartment with Central Park views — a common theme of the neighborhoods most expensive properties. The recently-renovated apartment is described in real estate listings as "absolutely stunning," "imminently classic," and "subtly edgy."

This penthouse occupies three floors of the tallest pre-war building on Central Park. Tenants are able to catch great views of the park from any of the the unit's four terraces.

This townhouse, located on East 74th Street between Madison and Park avenues, is the most expensive non-apartment property on the Upper East Side. The 33-foot wide home features the "privacy and exclusivity of a single family home while offering all the conveniences of a full service condominium," according to realtor.com listings.
