Permits Filed For New 20-Story Building On Upper East Side
The permits call for a new 20-story apartment tower on East 86th Street, one of the Upper East Side's busiest commercial corridors.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A developer filed permits with the city Thursday to construct a new high-rise apartment tower on one of the Upper East Side's busiest commercial corridors.
The permits call for a 20-story, 210-foot-tall building at 124 East 86th St., between Park and Lexington avenues. The developer is Brooklyn-based Rybak Development, which filed the permits under the name 126 East 86th Street Development LLC.
No permits have been filed yet to demolish the existing building, a 2-story structure that formerly housed a Chase Bank. There was no estimated completion date attached to the application.

The new building, which is pending zoning approval, would contain 32 apartments, amounting to a total 62,370 square feet of residential space, as well as a 1,500-square-foot commercial space.
The architect is listed as Igor Zaslavskiy from the Brooklyn-based firm Zproekt. The firm's other projects include 333 East 82nd St., an eight-story apartment building currently under construction.
