Plans Filed for 32 Story, 83 Unit Residential Tower on Upper East Side
The planned residential tower will contain a five-story townhouse unit and several luxury amenities.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Plans were filed Tuesday for an 83 unit apartment building that will rise 32 stories in the Lenox Hill section of the Upper East Side.
The new construction is proposed for a currently-vacant lot located at 249 E. 62nd Street between 2nd and 3rd avenues, according to the building plans. The proposed building will stand 510 feet tall, with 98,593 square feet zoned for residential use and 2,561 square feet zoned for commercial use. With 83 planned residential units the building's average unit will be slightly larger than 1,187 square feet.
But the building plans show that all units in the new building may not be created equal. A tentative floor plan for the building shows that the building will contain a four-story townhouse with a roof terrace. The rest of the building's residential units will be apartments which will be located from the third floor to the 29th, according to building plans.
