Samuel L Jackson Lists UES Home For Sale: Reports

The "Pulp Fiction" and "Avengers" star bought the East 63rd Street home in 2005 for $4.8 million.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Actor Samuel L Jackson and his wife, actress LaTanya Richardson, have listed their long-time Upper East Side home for sale at a price nearly three times what they bought it for, according to reports.

The East 63rd Street apartment has hit the market with an asking price of $13 million, the New York Post first reported. Jackson and Richardson purchased the home in 2005 for $4.8 million from former New York Knicks player Greg Anthony, according to a New York Times article from that year.

The apartment is located on the eight floor of 26 E. 63rd St., a condominium building called The Leonori located between Madison and Park avenues, the Post reported. The home features four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, according to the report.

Jackson and Richardson purchased the home after living in a Harlem brownstone for nearly20 years, the Times reported in 2005. The couple live full-time in California, and the responsibilities of being a brownstone owner no longer appealed to Jackson, he told the Times. The brownstone sold for $125,000 in 1997 — a significant profit considering they bought the property for $35,000 in 1981, the Times reported.

Samuel L Jackson is most known for his starring roles in films such as "Pulp Fiction" — for which he received an Oscar nomination — and "Snakes on a Plane." He's also appeared in a number of Marvel movies portraying the role of Nick Fury. Jackson is one of the busiest actors in Hollywood and has amassed more than 180 film and television credits, according to the International Movie Database.
