UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police on Friday asked the public for help finding a suspect in Monday's deadly shooting on the Upper East Side — an incident that rattled the typically tranquil neighborhood.
The shooting happened shortly after 2 p.m. Monday on East 95th Street between Lexington and Park avenues.
Police initially offered conflicting accounts of what happened, but later told the Daily News that the 20-year-old victim was sitting next to three others in the back of an SUV parked on the street when one pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest after a drug deal went bad.
