UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — When it comes to luxury rentals in Manhattan, the Upper East Side is in a class of its own, according to a new study from Localize.city.

The Upper East Side's dominance starts with a full-floor unit of the tony Pierre Hotel. Prospective tenants better have $6 million lying around, because rent at this six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home runs $500,000 per month. In addition to the home, tenants get all the services of Pierre guests and a chauffeur-driven Jaguar XJL — a nearly $100,000 luxury sedan — is included as a throw in.
The second- and third-place spots are taken by the penthouse at 56 Leonard Street in TriBeca ($256,000 per month) and a West 69th Street townhouse mansion ($175,000) before the Upper East Side rounds out the top five with units at 35 E. 76th St. ($150,000) and another Pierre Hotel apartment ($125,000).

Luxury rents in Manhattan far outpace the rest of the city, as the top 10 most expensive rentals are all located in the borough, according to Localize.city's study. The top rent in Brooklyn is $28,000 per month in Brooklyn Heights, followed by the Bronx at $17,950 per month in Fieldston and Queens at $7,385 per month in Long Island City. The study did not list a top rental in Staten Island.
