Election Day on the Upper East Side: Wait Times, Broken Scanners, Long Lines and More
There were many problems across the Upper East Side with long lines and broken scanners on Tuesday.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — It was a beautiful day to vote on the Upper East Side on Tuesday, and voters got plenty of time to admire the weather as they stood in line. The voting location at 88th Street and York was especially difficult. They had to move to keeping everyone's votes in emergency ballot boxes, which would be fed through the machine once corrected.

There was a massive line wrapping around a couple blocks waiting to get into P.S. 290 at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, though it did appear to be moving briskly in video shot by Upper East Side Council Member Ben Kallos.
Scattered delays and broken scanners hampered efforts of some voters in the neighborhood, but everyone seemed to be in agreement on the nice weather.
