3-Building Mega-Development Tops Out On Upper West Side
The three huge towers of Waterline Square on Riverside Boulevard have reached their peaks of 37, 38 and 34 stories.

263 condominiums that begin on or above the 20th floor of each buildingUPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The three giant towers that make up one of the Upper West Side's newest mega-developments on the Hudson River have topped out. Real estate firm GID Development Group celebrated the latest construction milestone for its Waterline Square development on Riverside Boulevard between West 59th and 61st street, the firm announced this week.
The three "starchitect" designed buildings of Waterline Square have reached their final heights of 37, 38 and 34 stories respectively.
"It has been an amazing journey seeing this historic project come to fruition. With all three buildings being constructed simultaneously, Waterline Square will offer its residents a new and complete neighborhood that is unlike any other in New York City, and we’re thrilled with the pace of construction," James Linsley, President of GID Development Group, said in a statement.

One Waterline Square (10 Riverside Boulevard) rises 37 stories and will contain 288 apartment units. The building was designed by Richard Meier and Partners Architects, according to a press release.
The second and largest building (400 W. 61st St.) will feature two towers rising from the same base. One tower will rise 38 stories and the second tower will rise 25 stories. The building will contain 656 units and was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates.

Three Waterline Square (639 West 59th Street) will rise 34 stories and contain 244 apartment units. The building was designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, according to a press release.
Hill West Architects served as the executive architect for the project.
The development will contain a total of 263 condos that begin on or above the 20th floor of each building, according to a press release. The nearly five-acre development will also feature three acres of parkland and open spaces connecting the three buildings. The parkland will feature tree groves, a great lawn, walking paths, a playground, fountains and waterfalls, according to a press release.
