Man Sues His Own Wife To Block UWS Apartment Sale: Report
The "happily married" couple of 40 years are at odds over a $13 million condo in ritzy 15 Central Park West.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A wealthy Upper West Side lawyer is suing his wife to stop her from selling a condo in a ritzy Central Park West building, according to reports.
W. Christopher White, former chairman of the law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, filed against his wife Anne in Manhattan Supreme Court, the New York Post first reported. The dispute between the "happily married" (or so the lawsuit says) couple started when Anne moved to sell a $13 million 15 Central Park West apartment to provide a financial support to the couple's son, the Post reported.
"During a recent phone conversation, [Anne] stated that ‘she would do anything in her power’ to help her son financially — which [Christopher] understood as a direct threat to sell the Unit, since that is the only asset in her name which could generate the necessary funds," the lawsuit, obtained by the Post, reads.

White's name is nowhere to be found on the deed to the apartment, but the former lawyer's money paid for the unit and its maintenance, insurance and renovations, the lawsuit claims.
White and his wife have since told the Post that the lawsuit was filed by mistake, but court records didn't show a termination of the suit, the newspaper reported.
