Upper West Side Apartment Building Sells For $79M, Report Says

The 82,230-square-foot ​building contains 82 apartments and was previously bought for $44 million in 2008.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side apartment building that currently houses both college students and residential tenants is changing hands for nearly $80 million, real estate publication REBusiness Online reported.

The firm Clipper Realty will acquire 10 W. 65th St., located between Central Park West and Broadway, from Touro College, REBusiness Online reported. The 82,230-square-foot building contains 82 apartments and comes with 53,000 square feet of air rights, according to the report.

The total value of the sale is $79 million, or $585 per square foot, according to the report.

Touro College, a private college in Midtown Manhattan founded in 1971, previously purchased the residential building in 2008, according to public real estate records. The college bought the building from an LLC company for $44 million, according to the records.
