COVID-19 Vaccine Ready For Wantagh Residents

The Wantagh Library will host medical exams and testing for residents.

WANTAGH, NY — In an effort to get closer to the end of the pandemic, Wantagh residents can get their COVID-19 shot without delay.

Onsite medical services and diagnostic testing by Heart and Healthy Medical are scheduled for Thursday at the Wantagh Library. Anyone 18 and older is eligible for a dose of the Moderna vaccine.

Along with getting vaccinated, people can also receive antibody testing. The second shot will get scheduled at the Heart and Health Medical office in Massapequa.

Beyond COVID-19, patients can request a physical exam and have their blood pressure checked.

A photo ID card and insurance card are required for service.

The pop-up check-up runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is being coordinated by Congressman Andrew Garbarino, Assemblyman Doug McDonough, Legislator Steve Rhoads and Councilman Chris Carini.
