WANTAGH, NY — The Doobie Brothers are reuniting with frontman Michael McDonald and they're bringing their nationwide tour — the first in a quarter-century — to Wantagh. The 30-date jaunt, which begins in June and finishes in October, is to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary, according to Consequence of Sound.

"We’re truly excited about our 50th Anniversary Tour, as it’s a celebration of the band’s entire history," singer-guitarist Tom Johnston said in a statement. "We’ll be performing songs from our full catalog, as well as new music."

The Doobie Brothers have been nominated for four Grammy Awards, winning twice in 1979 for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group Or Chorus.

The band charted mega hits in the 1970s and '80s including "What A Fool Believes," "Black Water" "Real Love" and "Long Train Runnin'."
