Ambulance corps president Irene Sabatasso said that she will play the title role for the organization’s inaugural event. The organization’s members planned to hold the event last year, but they were prevented from doing so due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she said.
Sabatasso said the ambulance corps, which has a 100% volunteer staff and serves the communities of Wantagh and Levittown, answered over 500 emergency calls between March and June 2020. They are continuing to answer all emergency calls including those related to COVID-19, she said.
