Free Swim Lessons Available At Jones Beach
The free lessons have already started, but you can still sign your kids up.
The annual free Learn-to-Swim program will be available again at Jones Beach State Park this summer. Children will be able to get free swimming lessons on Thursdays through August.
Lessons are held in the West Bath House on Thursday mornings. Classes are held at different times for different skill levels.
As enrollment for the Learn-to-Swim program at Jones Beach State Park is limited and is expected to fill up quickly, parents are asked to sign up ahead of time. Each swim program is 40 to 45 minutes and participants who enroll in these lessons will receive a Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Achievement Booklet and a State Parks Learn-to-Swim kit that includes a knapsack, T-shirt and water bottle at the conclusion of the program.
