Hurricane Jose Causes Jones Beach Flooding

Most of Long Island got only rain from Hurricane Jose as it churned out in the ocean, but Jones Beach was hit much harder.

The storm surge from Jose caused the tide to come much farther inland than it usually does, which in turn caused flooding near buildings that are usually dry and forced park employees to erect barriers to keep out the water.

Cary Lurie was at the beach Tuesday and captured these pictures and videos of the flooding.
