MacArthur Senior from Wantagh Named National Merit Finalist

Liam Lang is one of 8,400 Merit Scholarship winners from a group of approximately 15,000 finalists.

MacArthur High School senior Liam Lang, a Wantagh resident, has been named a finalist in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program.  

Lang has received a Certificate of Merit and is in the running to become one of 8,400 Merit Scholarship winners from a group of approximately 15,000 finalists.  

The recipients of awards totaling more than $34 million will be announced this spring.

Lang is enrolled in a competitive academic program and was recently designated an Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor by the College Board. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, a Renaissance cardholder, an accomplished musician and a member of the Key Club.
