Meet Patch's Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Papa!
This big fellow is looking for a new home. Will it be with you?

Meet Patch's Adoptable Pet of the Week, courtesy of the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. This week's top dog is Papa!
Papa is a senior dog, and he knows what he likes. He's gentle and kind, and he's also housebroken (although he still loves going on walks of course).
The shelter says he's friendly with other dogs, but would be better in a one-dog house. He would also be better off in a home with no young children. Someplace that's nice and calm.

"As the largest municipal animal shelter on Long Island, there are plenty of opportunities to give a loving cat or dog a forever home," said Town of Hempstead Supervisor Laura Gillen. "Saving one pet may not change the world, but it will surely change that pet's world forever."
If you're interested in adopting Papa, or any of dozens of other cats and dogs, visit the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. For more information, call (516)785-5220 or visit the shelter's website.
