Meet Patch's Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Rocky!
This senior pooch is looking for his forever home. Will it be with you?

Meet Patch's Adoptable Pet of the Week, courtesy of the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. This week's top dog is Rocky!
Named for the flying squirrel in "Rocky and Bullwinkle," Rocky is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Though he's an older dog, he still has plenty of love to give. He loves to cuddle, and will be happy to join you on the couch. When he sleeps, he needs a big dog bed to stretch out in.
Though he's friendly, he prefers to be left alone when eating, and would do better in a house with older children.

"As the largest municipal animal shelter on Long Island, there are plenty of opportunities to give a loving cat or dog a forever home," said Town of Hempstead Supervisor Laura Gillen. "Saving one pet may not change the world, but it will surely change that pet's world forever."
If you're interested in adopting Rocky, or any of dozens of other cats and dogs, visit the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. For more information, call (516)785-5220 or visit the shelter's website.
