Meet Patch's Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Dora And Junior!

This brother-sister pair is looking for their forever home. Will it be with you?

This week's Adoptable Pet of the Week is a twofer! Meet Dora and Junior, a pair of bonded siblings.

The two are seniors at 11 years old, and were surrendered to the shelter after their owner had to live in a nursing home. However, they're very sweet and go everywhere together.

The shelter says the ideal home for them would have children 10 and older.

"As the largest municipal animal shelter on Long Island, there are plenty of opportunities to give a loving cat or dog a forever home," said Town of Hempstead Supervisor Laura Gillen. "Saving one pet may not change the world, but it will surely change that pet's world forever."

If you're interested in adopting Rocky, or any of dozens of other cats and dogs, visit the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. For more information, call (516)785-5220 or visit the shelter's website.
