Nail Salon Fire In Wantagh Spotted By Tenant Upstairs: Wantagh FD
There were no injuries from the fire at the Wantagh Avenue shop.

WANTAGH, NY — There was a fire Friday afternoon at a Wantagh nail salon.
The Wantagh Fire Department responded to the blaze at 1941 Wantagh Ave., just after noon. The fire was discovered by a tenant living above the nail salon shop who smelled smoke, a spokesperson for the Wantagh Fire Department told Patch.
A faulty exhaust fan at the Polish Nail Salon was the cause of the fire, Wantagh Fire Department said.

There were no injuries and firefighters had the location cleared within an hour, the Wantagh Fire Department said.
Drivers did encounter some closures from the activity at the intersection of Wantagh Avenue and Park Avenue.
