Narcan Training Announced For Wantagh Library

Nassau County Legislator Steve Rhoads is expected to host the training exercise next week.

WANTAGH, NY — To help assist with drug overdoses, residents can sign up for a Narcan training session. It is scheduled for June 8 at the Wantagh Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Nassau County Legislator Steve Rhoads is expected to host the training seminar, the library said on its website. It is planned for the library's community room.

Narcan, or naloxone, is a drug used to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses.

Separately, Rhoades is also scheduled to hold mobile office hours at the library on June 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
