NY State-Run Vaccine Sites Closed Tuesday, Appointments Postponed
BREAKING: The Jones Beach State Park, SUNY Stony Brook, and the Westchester County Center vaccination sites will be closed Tuesday.

ALBANY, NY — New York state-run coronavirus vaccination sites such as Jones Beach State Park, SUNY and the Westchester County Center will be closed Tuesday due to the nor’easter, and all appointments were postponed pending rescheduling, state officials said Monday.
The state will also close its other mass vaccination sites at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens and the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan, while sites upstate will open with a delayed starting time.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said there are safety concerns over the nor’easter because it is producing large amounts of snow, “creating dangerous travel conditions,” and it is expected to continue into Tuesday.

“For the safety of both workers and individuals scheduled to receive a vaccination, we will be postponing appointments for tomorrow at several vaccination sites that are being impacted by this storm,” he stated in a news release. “To be clear — no one is losing an appointment; they will all be rescheduled when conditions are safer."
Residents with postponed appointments will receive an email or text message rescheduling their vaccination, and the timing of new appointments will be aligned with that of the original appointment's time. Residents wishing to reschedule their assigned appointment will be provided with a contact number to identify a different time.
