Patch's Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Meet Beau!

WANTAGH, NY — Meet Patch's adoptable Pet of the Week, courtesy of the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. This week's top dog is Beau!

Beau is a German Shepherd mix that came to the shelter as a stray in October 2018 after being hit by a car. Thankfully, he wasn't severely injured, but he's still at the shelter waiting for a loving family to adopt him.

According to the shelter, Beau is smart and can likely learn many commands — he already knows how to sit, paw, place, kennel up and down. He's friendly with people and interested in meeting other dogs, but will need slow meet and greets to make sure everyone is comfortable. Beau is sure to make someone or a family very happy, the shelter said.
