Patch's Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Meet Ruck!
This furry guy is looking for his forever home. Will it be with you?

Meet Patch's Adoptable Pet of the Week, courtesy of the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. This week's top dog is Ruck!
Ruck was abandoned in a home in January 2019, and was rescued from the home by the shelter. Shelter workers say that Ruck is anxious there.
Ruck is interested in meeting other dogs, so he'd make a great addition to a home that already has a furry friend living there. However, the shelter recommends Ruck to homes with kids 17 and older due to some handling issues.

"As the largest municipal animal shelter on Long Island, there are plenty of opportunities to give a loving cat or dog a forever home," said Town of Hempstead Supervisor Laura Gillen. "Saving one pet may not change the world, but it will surely change that pet's world forever."
If you're interested in adopting Ruck, or any of dozens of other cats and dogs, visit the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. For more information, call (516)785-5220 or visit the shelter's website.
