Rain Cancels First Day Of Bethpage Air Show
No decision has been made for Sunday's portion of the Jones Beach fly-over.

WANTAGH, NY — The Thunderbirds were grounded again.
The Bethpage Air Show was canceled by the weather Saturday, as announced on its website. The decision was "necessary to ensure the safety of the performers and the spectators," the state's Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation said.
The famed air show was canceled last year at the height of the pandemic.

Ticket holders for Saturday's performance can redeem them for two free state park passes, the state's Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation said on the website.
No decision has been made about Sunday's show.

Fans who would prefer a refund can email their confirmation numbers with the email address used to purchase tickets to jonesbeach.airshow@parks.ny.gov.
