Seaford Fire Department Christmas Tree Lighting: What To Know
The Seaford Fire Department said tasty sweets and Santa Claus will be at the ceremony this year.
SEAFORD, NY — The Seaford Fire Department's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony is planned this weekend where sweet drinks, tasty treats and more will be available. The 46th annual ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the fire department's building on Southard Avenue.
"The weather forecast is perfect, cold and clear," the department wrote in a Facebook post Wednesday. "Come on down for a great night of community fun."
Hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes will be available and attendees are invited to take home a Christmas Tree.

"Any trees sold during the Tree Lighting will be delivered to your door by noon Sunday," the department said.
P.J. Lochner, chairman of the fire department's annual tree-lighting committee, said in a promotional video that Santa Claus will be taking photos with children during the event. A rain date is set for Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Here's the Christmas tree sale schedule:
- Thursday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Friday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
- Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
