SEAFORD, NY — Seaford High School administration officials received a report that a woman claiming to be a police officer offered to give a female student a ride home on Monday.

School Superintendent Adele Pecora issued an alert to parents on Tuesday informing them the district’s administration had been informed the student was approached at about 2:15 p.m. on Seamans Neck Road near Clark Street by a middle-aged woman who was driving a white pickup truck with Florida plates.

The woman, who had short brown hair, offered to drive the student home said “something to the effect of, ‘I am a police officer, come on, it’s raining,’” Pecora’s alert continued.
