Seaford School Budget Passes

SEAFORD, NY — Voters approved a $74.7 million budget for the Seaford Union Free School District Tuesday.

It passed by a margin of 672-399.

The budget comes with a tax levy increase of 1.49 percent. Overall, the budget has a hike of $1.7 million, or 2.35 percent, from the 2020-2021 budget. Health insurance is set to rise by $705,000, while BOCES schools will be expected to get an allotment of $143,000 for computer equipment.

Andrea Parisi ran unopposed for the board trustee seat. She received 860 votes.
