Several Seaford High School Athletes Commit To College Teams
The colleges' locations range from Long Island to Georgia.

SEAFORD, NY — More than a dozen students from Seaford High School are continuing their athletic careers. The 13 Seaford Vikings have committed to schools ranging from Long Island to upstate New York, and from Georgia and Ohio.
The school hosted a college commitment ceremony for the student-athletes in front of the school last week. They were joined by their parents and coaches as well as school and district administrators, the Seaford School District wrote in a statement.
Principal Scott Bersin called them a "wonderful group" of students and said they will benefit tremendously from their college sports experience.

In order to sign the letters of intent to play college sports, they first had to demonstrate a strong commitment to their academics, Kevin Witt, the director of physical education, health and athletics, said.

- Emily Padgett, cheerleading, Farmingdale State College
- Olivia Pearse, soccer, Hofstra University
- Paige Vasquez, cheerleading, Nassau Community College
