Special Weather Statement Issued For Nassau County

The National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement for Nassau County:

Temperatures will continue to fall into this evening, with the entire Tri-State area at or below freezing by the end of the evening commute. Any wet surfaces from the precipitation that fell earlier today could freeze if it is an untreated surface, causing slippery conditions.

Wednesday Night- Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 20. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph.

Thursday- Sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph.

Thursday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Friday- Sunny, with a high near 39. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. West wind 8 to 10 mph.

Friday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Southwest wind around 7 mph.

Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.

Saturday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Sunday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.

Sunday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
