The main TakeCHARGE website is www.takecharge.care, and the campaign connects with audiences via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn) and through a variety of Zoom events.
According to Pulse’s President, Ilene Corina, BCPA, “Especially now, when exhausted healthcare providers across the country are fighting the pandemic, it’s up to us, the patients and potential patients, to take some responsibility for our own safety while receiving care. The TakeCHARGE Campaign provides a structured five-step path for anybody to improve their health care experience.”
New this year is that the Campaign is partnering with patient safety organizations and leaders across the country and beyond. Patient safety advocates and educators from Georgia, California, Washington, Illinois, New Jersey, New England and Canada are joining the original Long Island-based team to bring the 5 Steps to a wide and growing public.
