Thank a Law Enforcement Officer Program.

Town of Hempstead's fist annual campaign to thank our local Law Enforcement.

This year I was proud to help roll out the Town of Hempstead’s first annual “Thank a Law Enforcement Officer” Program. #CardsForCops

National Police Week began on May 9 and runs through May 15th. National Police Week pays special recognition to Law Enforcement Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Thank a Law Enforcement Program recognized these officers by asking students to construct cards that included a message of gratitude to the men and women who serve in Law Enforcement. We distributed these cards during #NationalPoliceWeek to thank our local Law Enforcement.

As a retired Police Officer, I want to personally thank all the schools and students that participated. The heartfelt cards meant a lot to the officers. This was a great way to show our appreciation. Looking forward to continue this new program for years to come. Thank you!
