Wantagh Boys Tennis Captures Conference Title
Warriors clinch Conference III title against Locust Valley and finish season 13-1.
The Wantagh High School boys tennis team captured its first league title in more than a decade this past Saturday.
The Warriors clinched the Conference III championship with a 4-3 win against Locust Valley at the Wantagh High School tennis courts. Wantagh’s Doug Notaris defeated Dylan Appel in the deciding singles match, 6-4, 6-1.
“Winning is not everything, but it sure does feel good when you work hard as a team and pull through together,” said Wantagh head coach Daniel Burgess Jr.
Wantagh finished the 2013 season with a team record of 13-1.
