A Wantagh-based producer-director has won a prestigious award for making a TV commercial.
Michael Schmidt received a Bronze "Telly" Award for a commercial titled " Prestige Motors Mercedes Benz – Sales Experience," at the group's 34th annual award ceremony recently.
Schmidt who works for Motion Graphics, Sound and Vision, located in Wantagh has won several previous Telly awards over his 20-year career, in commercials, corporate videos and independent films and documentaries.
“It is such an honor to be recognized and awarded this Telly,”Schmidt said. “At Motion Graphics, Sound and Vision, we are passionate about what we do and continually strive to produce the very best work at the highest standards. "
The Telly awards were founded in 1978 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials andon-broadcast video and TV programs.
