Wantagh Group Home Proposal to Be Addressed at Meeting

Informational session on proposed AHRC group home on 3005 Johnson Place scheduled Tuesday evening at Wantagh Public Library.

An informational meeting scheduled for Tuesday night is designed to answer questions about a proposed new group home in Wantagh.

The meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Wantagh Public Library will feature representatives from the Brookville Community Center for Children Services, which is proposing a group home on 3005 Johnson Place in Wantagh. Brookville is affiliated with the AHRC-Nassau, which did not immediately respond to calls seeking comment on the proposal.

Wantagh resident Robyn Valentino said she plans to attend Tuesday’s meeting and is looking to get more details on the project and its impact on traffic around Johnson Place and Forest Lake Elementary School a few blocks away.
