Wantagh Native Named NEAC Runner of the Week
Anthony Bouchard led his squad to victory at Mount Saint Mary's College Invitational.

A Wantagh High School grad attending SUNY Cobleskill was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference's Runner of the Week.
Anthony Bouchard, of Wantagh, has been named the league’s Male Co-Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 2. Bouchard shares the award with Morrisville State College junior Byron Evans.
The Fighting Tiger junior led Cobleskill to the team title with a score of 41 points at the 2016 Mount Saint Mary’s College Invitational hosted by the Knights at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y. on Saturday. Bouchard won the first intercollegiate race of his career at the event by covering the 8000-meter course in a time of 27:38 to better the 148-runner field.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday October 15 when they travel to Springfield, Mass. for the 2016 Western New England College invitational hosted by Western New England College at the school’s campus cross country course beginning at 10:30 a.m.
