Wantagh Party Company Brings ‘Snow Sisters’ To Milleridge Cottage

WANTAGH, NY — It’s a magical experience every time Jordan Coene slips into her costume — and character — at her business’s princess-themed children’s parties. Children are in awe and can’t help but ask many questions to make sure they know exactly who they are talking to, she says.

“Our characters get grilled,” laughs Coene, who just launched the Wantagh-based Once Upon a Daydream Parties LLC in August. She expects no lesser treatment this weekend at a winter wonderland-themed brunch where she will play one of the two “Snow Sisters,” which are characters based on Disney’s “Frozen” story, at The Milleridge Cottage in Jericho.

“It’s going to be a really nice meet-and-greet brunch,” said Coene.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Snow Sister,” “Ice Queen” and the “Reindeer Prince” will be donning masks in addition to their costumes, she said, and they will be seated apart shielded behind plexiglass from diners.

But there will be a chance for socially distanced chatting and photographs, though it will be behind plexiglass as well, Coene said.

“It will be completely COVID-safe,” she said.

The brunches will be held Saturday and Sunday. There will be seven seatings for brunch spread out every half-hour between 9 a.m. and noon. Tickets are $37.95 for adults and $27.95 for children ages 2 to 12. For more information, call 516-931-2201.
