Wantagh Wrestlers Named First-Ever Dual Meet Champs
The team is having an impressive year, and is undefeated this season.
WANTAGH-SEAFORD, NY - From Wantagh School District: The Wantagh School District is proud to announce that the New York State Public High School Athletic Association has designated the varsity wrestling team, under the direction of coach Paul Gillespie, the first New York State Division I Dual Meet Champions.
During the state meet, held at Onondaga Community College’s SRC Arena, the Warriors defeated Minisink Valley Central School District, 37-28, to take home the title. The team is currently 31-0 this season.
The district congratulates the team on this outstanding athletic accomplishment.
