WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Developers are eyeing a vacant lot in Washington Heights for the neighborhood's newest apartment building, according to development plans filed with the city Department of Buildings.

The new six-story apartment building will rise 80-feet on West 187th Street between Broadway and Wadsworth Avenue, according to building plans. The complex will house 12 apartments with an average size of about 759 square feet.

Residential amenities at the new building will be sparse. Current filings show no plans for recreation space or facilities such as a laundry room, a bike room or a gym. Plans do indicate that the building will have a rear yard.
