Millions In Repairs Coming To NYCHA Developments In Wash Heights
NYCHA developments in Washington Heights are among 16 in Manhattan that will receive part of $271M in funding for repair work.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A significant step was announced Tuesday in a program to renovate and revitalize 1,700 apartments across 16 Manhattan New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments, including multiple developments in Washington Heights.
PACT Renaissance Collaborative, a coalition of mission-driven affordable housing organizations, officially assumed responsibility for the NYCHA developments set to receive $271 million in renovation and revitalization work.
The work and repairs will include new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, and doors in every apartment. Additionally, the funding will go to upgrades for elevators, heating systems, common areas, roofs, and enhanced security measures for tenant safety.

Here are the Washington Heights NYCHA developments that are receiving part of the $271 million in repairs.
- Washington Heights Rehab (Groups 1&2) - 216 apartments: West 177th to 178th between Audubon and Amsterdam Avenue.
- Washington Heights Rehab Phase III – 102 apartments: 545 West 156th Street
- Washington Heights Rehab Phase IV (C) - 32 apartments: 502/506 West 176th Street
- Washington Heights Rehab Phase IV (D) - 32 apartments: 510/514 West 176th Street

Work on the renovations and repairs is expected to get started soon and be completed by spring of 2023.
