Plans Filed For 6-Story Washington Heights Apartment Building

The new development will be built on an empty lot and contain 16 apartments.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Developers have filed plans to build a six-story apartment building on an empty Washington Heights lot.

The new development will rise 75-feet-tall at 465 W. 163rd St. between Edgecomb and Amsterdam avenues, according to building plans. The 10,728-square-foot building will contain 16 apartment units, according to plans filed with the city Department of Buildings.

All of the building's space will be dedicated to residential use, according to development plans. The average apartment will be just over 650 square feet.

Space in the new building's cellar will serve as "accessory to residential use," but the building will not feature many residential amenities, according to building plans.

The plans were filed by Jason Chen of Treble Development, according to plans filed with the city. Queens-based A&T Engineering is listed as the new building's arhcitect.
