Washington Heights Walkup Sells For $15 Million, Records Show
The six-story building contains 42 residential units, most of which are rent-stabilized, according to reports.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A six-story residential walkup building in Washington Heights recently sold for more than $15 million, according to real estate records filed with the city.
The building, 522 W. 157th St. between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, exchanged hands between two LLC's for $15.1 million, records show. The buying entity is listed on records as an "West 157th Street LLC" and the seller is listed as an "522 West 157th LLC."
Records listed the sale date as June 7.

Commercial Observer reported that the buyer is a subsidiary of Douglas Peterson of the firm Peterson Capital. The building contains 42 apartment units of which 95 percent are rent-stabilized Commercial Observer reported. The units in the building range in size from studio apartments to four-bedroom apartments, according to the report.
