Heart Of West Village Building Hits Market For $17M

The building housed the Nocetti's Hardware store, a longtime neighborhood staple, for some eight decades.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The West Village building that was the longtime home of the Nocetti's Hardware store is for sale for the first time in 60 years.

The 11 Carmine Street building near Bleecker Street has been listed with Christie’s International Real Estate firm for $17 million, according to the real estate listing.

For more than 80 years, the Nocetti family occupied the ground floor retail space with a hardware store that was a neighborhood staple and became something of a hangout for long-time locals.

After the store shuttered years ago, the space was leased out to San Francisco-style taqueria Dos Toros Taqueria, which has a lease for the storefront until September 2025.

The five-story walk-up includes 13 apartments above the retail space including two units that are rent stabilized.
