Louis C.K. Buys $2.5 Million Home in the West Village: Report

The big-time comedian seems to have a thing for our neighborhood.

WEST VILLAGE — Last year, comedian Louis C.K. told the Hollywood Reporter that "in New York, everyone is so mixed together that there's less of a feeling of class here."

"Everybody is dealing with the same sh*t," he said. "Everybody is on the subway elbow-to-elbow."

As of this week, though, he's got a sanctuary from the elbows: a gorgeous, new $2.45 million West Village home, according to the Real Deal.

Located on the 17th floor of 101 West 12th St., the comedian's two-bedroom co-op reportedly has an office, wall-to-wall windows and "stunning city views."

The apartment, which C.K. bought from architects Peter Eisenman and Cynthia Davidson, is located in a building named "The John Adams," which Halstead Properties boasts is "among Greenwich Village's finest addresses, with doormen plus concierge service."

The "top-tier full service building" has "central air, garage, plus all new windows and hallways." And if Louis C.K. still feels too crowded, he can always venture up to the "stunning roofgarden."

Plus, C.K. (whose legal name is Louis Székely), already owns three units in a brownstone further south in the West Village at 345 West 4th St., and a vacation home on Shelter Island.
